Presumably it had been rebooted and nobody’s figured out how to make it logon automatically.

The DailyWTF is full of these. My worst experience was the in-flight entertainment failing on an 11 hour leg to Heathrow four years ago. Then seeing a Dr Watson error on the setup screen when I was leaving the plane!
